Gokulam Gopalan, leading businessman and producer of the critically acclaimed box-office hit Pazhassi Raja (2009), has announced a bi-lingual in Malayalam and Tamil with Kamal Haasan playing a historic figure.

Gopalan produced Pazhassi Raja starring Mammootty, Sarath Kumar, Padmapriya and directed by Hariharan was a super hit in Malayalam and Tamil.

In a press conference in Thiruvananthapuram, Gopalan announced: “I’m planning a historical based on Tipu Sultan and warrior queen of North Malabar Unniarcha. Kamal Haasan has agreed to act in the film. Noted writer John Paul is writing the script which will be directed by Vayalar Madhavan Kutty. The other details and shooting plans are being worked out and should start rolling early next year.”
